At its base sits a genuine antique portable typewriter, its compact green casing, original keys, and carriage mechanism all intact, the small badge on its face still legible, a quiet signature of a machine that once gave words their shape. Rather than let it sit silent, it has been reclaimed as the foundation for a three-head lamp, the two purposes coexisting rather than competing.

From the typewriter's body, a single brass and steel pipe rises and branches into three independent arms at varying heights, each fitted with a protective wire cage and a warm, glowing filament bulb. The asymmetric composition gives the piece genuine sculptural rhythm, light falling unevenly, intentionally, the way it might from an old desk lamp angled and re-angled over years of work. A genuine reclaimed pressure gauge and an operable red valve handle sit mid-structure, both authentic salvaged instruments, mounted with the same care a craftsman once gave to function.

Where the type bars once struck a page, light now falls instead, a quiet transformation that asks nothing of the typewriter but to be remembered.
