The Tower Valve Floor Lamp
This is industrial design at its most architectural, a floor-standing lamp built not to sit quietly in a corner, but to anchor a room entirely on its own terms.
At its base sits a genuine antique valve assembly, its bronze body aged into deep, mottled verdigris, its original maker's markings still faintly visible beneath decades of honest patina. This was once real working equipment, salvaged whole rather than reproduced, and it carries that weight in every line. Rising from it, the piece climbs in a true vertical composition, salvaged brass and steel pipework twisting, branching, and doubling back on itself in a dense, almost organic network, the kind of detail that rewards a slow, close look rather than a passing glance.
Threaded through this rising structure are three genuine reclaimed gauges and an operable valve handle, each an authentic salvaged instrument mounted with workshop precision, alongside four independent light heads at varying heights — some open-bulb, some caged — casting layered, asymmetric pools of warm light from top to bottom of the piece. The composition culminates at its foundation in a salvaged spoked wheel, repurposed as a sculptural, stable base that echoes the mechanical language of everything above it.
Standing at full floor-lamp height, this piece does not imitate scale, it earns it, built entirely from genuinely reclaimed components that could never be sourced or assembled this way again.
As with every piece in this collection, this lamp is the only one of its kind. What stands here was built once, from materials that lived full lives before this one, and will never be repeated.
