Round Didgeridoo

This piece is a genuine hand-carved didgeridoo, shaped from a single length of solid timber into a striking spiral form — the bore winding in a full, tightening coil before opening into the instrument's mouthpiece. The wood's natural grain runs continuously through every curve, catching warm honey and amber tones across the surface, all left in its natural finish with no stain or lacquer applied.

Where a traditional straight-tube form draws the eye along its length, this piece draws it inward, circling toward its own centre in a shape that reads as much as sculpture as it does instrument. The mouthpiece extends outward in a simple, clean cylinder, offset against the density of the coil behind it, giving the whole object a sense of tension between motion and stillness.

No hand-carved coil of this kind can be repeated exactly — the grain, curve, and proportion are unique to this single piece of timber. This is a genuine, playable instrument and a singular sculptural object at once.
