Laura
At its base sits a genuine reclaimed valve assembly, cast in iron and finished in a deep, worn black patina, its original wheel-handle and coupling still intact from decades of mechanical service. The body rests on a wide four-point pipe frame, giving the piece the low, planted stance of working machinery rather than a lamp built purely for display.
From the valve body, aged brass pipework climbs and branches through a sequence of hand-formed bends, threading past an original red-handled shutoff valve before splitting into three cage-guarded pendant bulbs, each set at a different height and angle, their exposed filaments glowing in warm, staggered unison. A salvaged pressure gauge sits fixed low on the frame, its dial and needle preserved exactly as found. The full base stands on a reclaimed timber plinth, anchoring the piece with real mechanical weight.
Three lights, one reclaimed body, and a pipe run shaped entirely by hand around what survived — this exact configuration exists once, and will not be repeated.
