The gooseneck form is one of the most honest shapes in industrial design — a single arm that reaches from the wall, bends at the shoulder, and delivers light exactly where it is needed without ceremony or pretense. This is the second iteration of that form in the collection, and it carries the same philosophy with the same confidence.

The arm is salvaged pipe, its surface oxidised into a warm copper-bronze patina that deepens toward the wall plate — where rust and age have worked the iron into a surface of genuine complexity, its tones shifting from bronze to terracotta to deep brown at the mounting flange. The sweep of the arm is generous and deliberate, its curve beginning high from the wall plate and arcing outward and down in a single movement that places the shade precisely at the level where light from a wall fixture should fall — between the ceiling and the eye, casting downward into the room rather than across it.

The shade is an authentic vintage green enamel bowl, its colour rich and consistent, its rim fitted with a wire cage guard that protects the exposed Edison filament bulb below. That bulb — visible through the cage, its spiral filament glowing amber — is the piece's warmest detail, the one the eye returns to after taking in the arm's sweep and the shade's colour.

Together these elements form a composition of complete simplicity and complete character: one arm, one shade, one cage, one bulb. Nothing more is needed.

As a companion to the first Gooseneck Wall Sconce in the collection, this piece works equally well alongside it or independently — two expressions of the same industrial form, each carrying its own particular patina and proportion.

Details:

  • Sweeping gooseneck salvaged pipe arm — warm copper-bronze oxidised patina deepening to rust at wall plate
  • Authentic vintage green enamel shade — warm downward light distribution
  • Wire cage guard — protective and original in character
  • Flanged wall mounting plate — aged iron patina
  • Exposed Edison-style filament bulb —warm amber glow

One arc, one shade, one warm point of light — the collection's gooseneck form in its second and equally singular expression.
