The head of this piece is a genuine reclaimed ship's searchlight, its bronze housing worn to a soft, weathered gold that only decades at sea could produce. A heavy protective wire cage wraps the full face of the lens — grid-patterned, hand-fitted, and original to the fixture's working life — guarding the glass exactly as it would have needed guarding on deck. Behind it, the bulb's glow scatters warmly through the aged glass, catching every mark of use along the way.

The searchlight sits on its original mounting bracket, joined by a small salvaged chain link at the neck, and stands on a genuine wooden tripod, its legs a rich, aged brown-black, tapering to worn iron-shod points. The tripod's cross-chain and telescoping joints remain fully functional, allowing the piece to be raised, lowered, or angled exactly as it once was in service. Nothing about this piece has been rebuilt to look old — it simply never stopped looking this way.

No cage, housing, or tripod in this piece can be replaced or matched again. This particular configuration exists once, in exactly this form.
