At its heart hangs a genuine concrete mixer drum, its heavy riveted cone-form body worn into a deep, complex patina of rust, bronze, and oxidised metal that decades of outdoor industrial use have made entirely irreproducible. Around its circumference, the mixer's original toothed gear ring remains fully intact, the mechanism that once drove the drum's rotation, now frozen permanently, its teeth catching the light of the eight independent cage bulbs that ring the piece at varying heights and distances. This gear ring is not decorative. It is the drum's original anatomy, preserved because nothing about this piece was altered beyond what was necessary to bring it to life in a new context.

From the drum's body, a sprawling network of salvaged brass and steel pipe fittings extends outward in every direction — branching, crossing, angling — carrying cage lights, pressure gauges, red and black valve wheels, coiled conduit flex sections, and pipe elbows assembled with the density and logic of real industrial infrastructure. Multiple genuine reclaimed gauges sit within the composition at different heights, their dials still readable, alongside two distinct valve wheel types whose spokes cast their own shadow patterns into the surrounding space when lit. Every fitting is genuinely salvaged; nothing was manufactured for this piece.
