Where the collection's ring chandeliers spread wide and horizontal, this one draws inward, a perfect sphere suspended overhead, its geometry as deliberate as a navigational instrument and as honest as the reclaimed iron it is made from.

The frame is an orb of intersecting iron bands, latitude and longitude rendered in dark, oxidised steel, bolted at every intersection with the same practical precision that once held real industrial structures together. It is a form that recalls the armillary spheres of early astronomy, the gyroscopes of navigation, the containment vessels of engineering, objects built around the idea of enclosing something important at their center. Here, what is enclosed is light itself.

Six pipe arm brackets extend outward from the orb's equatorial and upper bands, each holding a single exposed filament bulb without cage or shade, bare, unguarded, and entirely intentional. The decision to leave the bulbs uncaged here is a departure from the collection's signature wire guards, and it gives this piece a different quality entirely: open, generous, the filaments visible and warm, casting light outward through the iron bands in a pattern of curved shadows that animates every surface of the room around it.

Suspended on a dark iron chain that continues the piece's tonal language from ceiling to globe, the Orb Chandelier is the collection's most formally considered ceiling piece, pure geometry, reclaimed material, and warm light in equal measure.

As with every piece here, this chandelier was built once from salvaged and reclaimed components, making it entirely one of a kind.

Details:

  • Spherical orb frame — intersecting dark oxidised iron bands, bolted construction

  • Six exposed Edison-style filament bulbs — bare and uncaged

  • Pipe arm brackets — reclaimed fittings, extending outward from the frame

  • Dark iron chain suspension

  • Dimension — 80 x 80 x 60

The collection's most geometric chandelier — a sphere of reclaimed iron that holds six warm points of light at its perimeter and casts curved shadows across everything below.
