The Water Meter Column Lamp

Where its sibling piece spreads outward on four tap feet, this lamp rises — a single, composed vertical column that carries the same salvaged materials in an entirely different conversation.

At its base sits a genuine toothed gear, heavy and grounded, its machined teeth worn into honest patina. From it, the lamp climbs in a clean, deliberate line, a salvaged red valve handle at its foot, a genuine reclaimed water meter at its heart, its blue body and brass dial face mounted mid-column exactly as it would have been in a working pipe run, still bearing its original maker's markings. Above, the column bends gracefully overhead, terminating in an authentic vintage green enamel shade that bowls warm light downward across the meter and pipework below.

The effect is portrait-like, a single standing figure rather than a spread composition, every component stacked with intention. The blue of the meter, the red of the valve, the green of the shade, the bronze of the pipe, four colours of genuine salvaged industrial life, assembled in one quiet vertical form.

As with every piece in this collection, each component here was genuinely reclaimed from working life, the meter, the valve, the gear, the shade, all found rather than manufactured. This exact combination existed nowhere before, and will exist nowhere after.
