This wall light is built from the body of a genuine mid-century flow-control valve — a cast-iron and bronze mechanism once installed in an industrial plant, its surface still carrying the mottled verdigris and rust bloom of decades in service. Nothing about this patina is applied. It is the record of the object's working life, left exactly as time made it.

From the valve's original ports, a run of aged brass pipe rises and bends in three deliberate elbows before arriving at a vintage green enamel shade, its interior throwing a warm pool of light down over an exposed filament bulb. A second brass pipe drops beside it, ending in the valve's original lever handle — retained not as decoration, but as proof of provenance. The piece mounts to the wall on two cast iron brackets, holding the full weight of the composition in quiet equilibrium.

This is a single, unrepeatable piece. The valve body cannot be sourced twice, the patina cannot be recreated, and the pipework was hand-fitted around what survived. Once it finds its place on a wall, this exact configuration will not exist again.
