The body of this piece is a genuine vintage industrial vessel, its embossed maker's markings still faintly visible beneath a weathered teal-green patina — the kind of surface no artisan can fake, only time can write. Bolted flanges at the top and base hold it firmly in place, the same hardware that once secured it to working machinery now anchoring it to the wall.
Above the vessel, brass pipework rises and turns through hand-formed elbows to a cage-guarded pendant, where an exposed filament bulb sits protected behind blackened steel bars — a detail salvaged in its original form, industrial in function and honest in appearance. Below, a preserved pressure gauge remains fitted exactly where it once did its work, its face and needle untouched. Two cast brass wall brackets carry the full weight of the piece, giving it the stance of something built to endure rather than decorate.
This is a singular object. The vessel cannot be found twice, its markings and patina belong to no other piece, and the cage, gauge, and pipework were fitted by hand to what survived. Nothing here was replicated — only reclaimed.
