At its head sits a genuine antique multi-bulb cluster light, five individual faceted housings arranged in a circular brass frame, each cradling its own bulb, their combined glow producing a broad, intense, and deeply warm flood of light that fills a room rather than directing at it. This is the kind of fixture once found in operating theatres, film studios, or the signal decks of large vessels, places where light was not ambient but operational, where the difference between enough illumination and not enough was consequential. It carries that seriousness into every room it enters.

The brass outer ring, its tilting yoke, and the original hardware connecting head to tripod are all fully intact and genuine, aged into a deep, burnished gold that contrasts beautifully against the polished steel of the military-style tripod below. That tripod, extendable, chain-braced, ground-spiked, precision-made, is a genuine field instrument in its own right, its slim fluted legs spreading wide and low to carry the weight of the substantial head above with complete stability.

Lit, this piece is unlike anything else in the collection. Five sources of warm light, faceted and multiplied through the cluster frame, produce an output and a presence that is closer to installation than to lamp. It does not supplement a room's lighting. It becomes it.
