Gone for a breakfast
The body of this table is a genuine reclaimed factory transport cart, its deck built from thick salvaged timber planks, each carrying its own individual grain, split, and weathering from decades of hard use on a factory floor. The wood has been left entirely untreated in character — no staining to fake age, no sanding away of the marks that prove where it's been.
The frame beneath is reinforced with heavy cast iron corner brackets and edge plates, original to the cart's working life, bolted exactly where they were first fitted. Four oversized cast iron wheels — two fixed, two on cast swivel pins — carry the full weight of the piece, their spoked faces worn to a deep matte black. Nothing here has been reproduced or artificially distressed; the timber, the ironwork, and the wheels all carry the same honest wear that comes only from real industrial service.
No two carts share the same board pattern or the same wheel wear. This is a singular surviving piece, brought into a second life as a table exactly as it was found.
